Abstract
Security toolkits are used by the system administrators to harden their organization’s resources (information and provided services). One of the most important steps when developing a security toolkit is to implement an environment where to test and attest the toolkit’s functionality. This paper presents a method of setting a testing environment as well as the testing procedure that are designed for a security toolkit. Furthermore, the paper presents how the proposed methodology can be applied in an actual security toolkit development project.
